The World Sacred Music Festival is made possible only with the work of dozens of volunteers. Whether you have festival/ music experience or not, we'll find a place for you to fit in. You can help out before the festival, during the performances, or afterward.

VOLUNTEER JOBS AVAILABLE MAY INCLUDE:

Set up - Prepare admissions tables, make sure all festival signs up and help with other aspects of set up as requested.

Ticket Sellers/Takers - Sell and take (pre-sold) tickets, hand out programs, stamp hands of ticket holders.

Ushers - Check people's tickets or hand stamps as they enter the venue, and provide information or seating assistance.

Stage Hands - Help technical coordinators set up each stage area. Help line up each performance group that is next up on the stage you are working on. Specific jobs and shifts will be designated by the lead technical coordinator for the festival.

MCs - Be master of ceremonies to introduce every new music and/or dance act coming to the stage you are working at. All MCs need to have some knowledge of the programs Interfaith Works sponsors.

Green Room Hosts - Help Green Room Coordinator set up the hospitality room (Green Room) with drinks and snacks for all of the musicians, singers and dancers performing at the festival. Make sure fresh drinks and snacks are available throughout the festival.

The World Sacred Music Festival highlights the sacred traditions of world cultures through music and dance performances, and sometimes includes storytelling, art, workshops, and food.

The World Sacred Music Festival accepts artist applications on an on-going basis. We use these applications to help select performers for our events, which are held several times each year.

Please note that our budget is generally too modest to support artists’ air travel, so we rely on local and regional artists, and on other artists who are already touring through Western Washington State. Payment for performances varies, and is negotiated between WSMF and each artist.
