Please join us as we explore prayer as it was practiced in the early church. Contemplative prayer is a process of deepening my relationship with God. In prayer (20-30 minutes a day), I practice quieting my mind and opening my heart in the silence of the moment. I consent to God's word (lectio divina) that leads to divine union. In contemplative prayer, my awareness changes not so much what I think but how I think and perceive, relate and respond to divine presence.
