Residents Decry Plan to Reduce Zoning DensityProtests plentiful at Thurston County public hearing A plan to rezone pockets of higher-density-zoned land in rural Thurston County to allow fewer homes to be built drew sharp outcries recently at a public hearing. The higher-density pockets are called LAMIRDs, or limited areas of more intense rural development.
