Martin Lopez

 Originally coming to the United States from Mexico City, Martin Lopez moved to Los Angeles as a young boy. Although his family only spoke Spanish in the home, he was able to enroll in a Spanish speaking school environment that encouraged an emphasis on English learning skills. He has been able to use his bilingual speaking skills in most of his work in Insurance and Private Investigations, Graphic Design and Printing Industry.
Martin has been a member of the CIELO community since 2008 as an ESL Beginning 1 teacher.
Martin encourages dual language learning to all of his family, friends and community. He has worked on his own and through various groups to provide support to underprivileged families. Martin lives in Olympia with his wife, two wonderful children and an ornery cat named after Frida Kahlo.
