Sherry Sullivan

Sherry grew up in Seattle, Washington, and attended Whitman College, the University of Oregon, the University of Saskatchewan, and the University of Toronto. She received her doctorate in English literature at the University of Toronto and taught writing composition and American literature for many years at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has been lucky enough to have traveled extensively and to have lived abroad in different locations. Sherry has lived with her family in Olympia since 1991, until recently teaching writing composition and humanities full-time at South Puget Sound Community College. Currently retired, she is active in the community--particularly with regard to diversity-related issues, and she continues to teach her "Multicultural America" course and participate in diversity work at the College.
