Indicator: Economy & People with Resources for a Decent Life

To track people with resources for a decent life, one measure is children living in poverty, specifically the percentage who apply for free and reduced-cost lunches. This may not reflect the total numbers who qualify, or whether the school district income standards are sufficient for a "decent life." Numbers have consistently exceeded 20% of school children countrywide, 10 to 15% higher in south county schools than in north.
