Sustainable South Sound has launched an exciting new campaign to encourage residents of Thurston County to shop at local farms and businesses. Supporting local farms and businesses keeps money in our local economy and saves jobs.
Sustainable South Sound is helping to create a sustainable vision of economic, social, and environmental prosperity in the South Sound Region. We are excited to announce our second year of promoting local businesses which we think lays the groundwork for tomorrow's communities.
Through our new Buy Local Program, we hope that others will begin to see that money spent at local, independently owned businesses stays in our community. The program now has 140 participating farms, businesses and organizations throughout our region.

Be sure to pick up a "Buy Local Savings Book", which is now being sold at a number of locations for only $20. This book is worth thousands of dollars in savings at local businesses. By using the "Buy Local Savings Book", we can work together to support our South Sound friends and neighbors, laying the groundwork for a sustainable future!
