Please join us in this 24-hour a day Prayer to honor the Sacred.

The sound of the drum is the sacred sound of life; the sound we all heard in the womb.

The sound of the drum beat on a Spiritual as well as on a physiological level reconnects us to the memory of the sacred. In today’s world most of us are disconnected from the roots of our heritage. Yet in all cultures our ancestors recognized that honoring the sacredness of all life was essential to survival. Drumming helps us reconnect to the sacred, to nature, and one another. We invite you to participate in this 24-hour-a-day-drum prayer.

Our prayer is that through establishing a 24-hour-Sacred-Drum-Beat we:

• Create a vehicle of prayer to honor and remember the Spirit that connects all life and helps us learn to work together, and returns us to a harmonious relationship with nature and our brothers and sisters throughout the world.
• Encourage people around the world to take the time to honor the sacred in themselves and to join together with others in a practice of honoring the sacred in all life.
• Recognize the efforts of people around the world who already practice praying with the drum. The 24-hour-a-day-drum-prayer will focus these important efforts in a continuous prayer.
• Provide an activity that will encourage others to come together in their families and communities.
• Brings encouragement in our daily lives through drumming. The Drum prayer provides a means to address the extreme isolation many of experience in the fast paced world we live in.
