Help the Environment – Wet Wednesdays, South Sound Saturdays!

Get into a new healthy habitat habit! Join People For Puget Sound, The Nature Conservancy, Capitol Land Trust, and several other organizations for restoration work and good company on “Wet Wednesdays,” the first Wednesday of every month, and on “South Sound Saturdays,” the first Saturday of every month.

Join other volunteers from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a break for lunch. Activities will inlcude working on and monitoring shoreline restoration sites around the South Sound, including Woodard Bay, Mud Bay, East Bay, Eld Inlet, Titlow Park, and others. Volunteers will be working (and learning about the Sound!) rain or shine, so don’t forget to dress for working in the weather. Also, make sure to bring water and pack a lunch.

Organizers will supply tools and work gloves if you don’t have any of your own. Everyone can help! Children 10 and under must have adult supervision. Sign up today! Please email or call Dan Grosboll, People For Puget Sound, 360-754-9177, dgrosboll@pugetsound.org with your email address and a phone number so we know to expect you!
