Keep Up on Effects of Climate Change in Washington State

Washington State Departments of Ecology and Community, Trade & Economic Development (CTED) are using their joint website to inform people of the latest actions and news related to climate change. Washington residents can use the site to follow Washington's efforts to respond to the challenges of climate change in our state, and to capitalize on the economic opportunities it represents.

The website has many useful and up-to-date features, including updates on the Climate Advisory Team, the group leading the response to Gov. Chris Gregoire's Washington Climate Challenge, and a chance to share your thoughts about their efforts to address climate change. The site provides links to documents and educational materials about how climate change is affecting Washington's environment and economy, and how Washington is working with other states and Canadian provinces to limit climate change. You can also learn what you can do to reduce your contribution to greenhouse gas emissions and can join the Climate Change ListServ to get ongoing information on meetings, updates and accomplishments from the various committees working to address climate change, as well as news and information on Washington state and global climate change issues.
