Practitioners

Emma Rose

Emma Rose is a founding collective member and Herbal practitioner at the Olympia Community Herbal Clinic. She has lived in the Pacific Northwest her whole life and feels a strong connection to the plants of this Bioregion.

She studied both at the North East School of Botanical Medicine in Ithaca, New York, where she focused on clinical western herbalism, botany, and herbal first aid; and at The School of Traditional Western Herbalism in Portland, Oregon. She has continued her education through working closely with people and plants at the Olympia Community Herbal Clinic since 2008.

Her herbal practice is focused on supporting people to find deep connections with their own health and the plant world, and meeting people where they are at. She works with people through both acute and chronic health conditions, and suggests herbs for both clinical and energetic improvement.

Emma's Clinic Hours:

  • Thursdays 5-7pm
  • Fridays 5-7pm

Jean Lynch-Thomason

Jean Lynch-Thomason has been studying and working with energetic and plant medicine since 2007. She has been working with the clinic since its inception in 2008 in various roles, and is excited to serve the Olympia community through her practice at the Community Herbal Clinic.

In addition to several apprenticeships, Jean has studied at the Blue Ridge School of Herbal Medicine in Asheville, North Carolina, and at the Appalachian Center for Natural Health in Arab, Alabama. Jean's practice is rooted in clinical Western Herbalism as well as Southern Folk Medicine, with an emphasis on constitutional analysis and holistic wellness. Jean draws strongly on traditional medicine and dietary practices, while integrating intuition, energetics, and current science. She is particularly excited about working with babies, children, and mamas, as well as with mental health.

Jean believes that healing through relationship to the plant world is our birthright as humans. She also believes that we are our own best allies in healing, and seeks to empower clients to be active participants in their own health.
